Training Opportunities:

Weekly training:
There are weekly training session that will be open to anyone that is interested. As for now, there will be no charge to students to attend. I am happy that the Threshermen’s Association of High Prairie lets me use the hall once a week at no charge. The only thing that I ask is for commitment. Absence without prior notification is not acceptable. After a few lessons you will be expected to get the official karate Gi (training clothes). Students should be present about 10 to 15 minutes before the session starts.
Personal Training
Personal training is available at demand. If there is a situation that one can not train in a group or if it is a very different group of people then personal agreements can be made. This will then be at an agreed time, place and rate.
Seminars and workshops
Every year there will be the opportunity to go to seminars mostly in Edmonton or Calgary. At these seminars there will be lots of interaction with other students and teachers. In 2010 some will get the opportunity to go and train with Dave Hazard (7th Dan) from the UK. This will be in May in Calgary.
Guest Trainers
There will be a training once or twice a year where a guest trainer will be invited. This could be combined with a belt test.
Belt Test
Every student can progress in the ranks of the karate stepladder. Everybody starts with a white belt. For every belt a certain test of kata, techniques and kumite is required. This will be every 6 months. January and June will be the test months. Date will be set closer to the time. This could be on a training night or on another day however this will be communicated a few weeks before.
